King Hussein Bridge reopened Sunday for passenger travel in both directions, the Public Security Directorate’s Bridge Security Department said.

Passenger traffic resumed following a closure Thursday after a shooting at the Allenby crossing that killed 2 Israelis.

Cargo traffic through the commercial terminal remains suspended until further notice.

Jordan condemned the shooting as a violation of law that harms its interests and hampers its ability to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Foreign Ministry said official bodies have opened an investigation and reaffirmed Jordan’s rejection of all acts of violence and unlawful conduct.
