Civil Status Department revenues hit JD48m, expenses JD16m in 2024

Revenues of the Civil Status and Passports Department for 2024 reached about JD48 million, according to the department’s annual report, which showed total revenues of JD48,283,199.

Expenses for the same year totalled JD16,206,216.

Regarding the electronic archiving project for paper files, the Files and Archiving Directorate digitised 75,604 files from civil offices containing 7,155,635 documents. It also archived 187,925 unregistered cases with 1,154,845 documents, and 56,862 civil record files containing 469,345 documents.

Additionally, 1,607 records of vital events (births, deaths, marriages, divorces) were archived, containing 99,263 documents.
