In recognition of the vital role of Jordanian teachers in advancing education and strengthening their mission in shaping future generations, the International Arab Islamic Bank sponsored the Education Ministry’s ceremony honouring teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day 2025.
The event, held at the Royal Cultural Centre, took place under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, with the attendance of Education Minister Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, several ministers, MPs, academic and educational figures, and the bank’s Head of Business and Investment Sector, Dr. Mohsen Abu Awad.
The bank’s General Manager, Eyad Al-Asali, said the sponsorship reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the education sector — particularly teachers — through comprehensive Sharia-compliant banking services designed to meet their real financial needs. He highlighted that teachers form the backbone of society, playing a crucial role in transferring knowledge and preparing generations capable of contributing to national growth.
Al-Asali added that the initiative stems from the bank’s deep appreciation for World Teachers’ Day, which he described not only as an occasion to honour teachers but also as a celebration of education itself — a cornerstone of national development and progress. He expressed pride in the bank’s strong partnership with the Ministry of Education and reaffirmed the bank’s continued annual support for the ministry’s initiatives, in recognition of Jordanian teachers as the core of the educational process and the foundation of social and national advancement.
