AMMAN — Tourism Minister Imad Hajazin on Tuesday sponsored the graduation ceremony of Ammon Applied University College, celebrating the 22nd class of Hotel Management bachelor’s students, the 5th class of Event Management students, the 7th class of Culinary Arts diploma students, and the 28th class of Hotel Management diploma students. The ceremony was held at Century Park Hotel in Amman.
In his remarks, Hajazin highlighted the importance of the tourism sector, calling it a promising opportunity. He noted that Jordan hosts around 900 service and experience providers, demonstrating the country’s ability to expand its tourism offerings.
Hajazin stressed that success today depends not only on academic specialisation but on understanding labour market needs and believing in available opportunities. He added that salaries in the tourism sector — which he described as a “hidden treasure” — are five times higher than in many other professions.
Acting Dean of Ammon College Dr. Thahab Al-Barari said the college is more than an academic institution, describing it as “a home for dreams and a launching pad for students who carry knowledge with passion and commitment to work.”
The ceremony concluded with the minister presenting certificates and awards to the graduates and top achievers.
