Earlier Thursday, it was announced that an agreement had been reached to end the war on the Gaza Strip, more than two years after its outbreak.
The announcement followed several days of indirect negotiations held behind closed doors in Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh, with the participation of American, Egyptian, Turkish, and Qatari mediators to end the devastating war that has continued for two years on the besieged enclave.
