Amman, 6 Oct 2025 – Jordan Kuwait Bank renewed its sponsorship of the Heritage Award for the second consecutive year, held at Al Odeon Theater in downtown Amman under the patronage of HRH Princess Dana Firas, Chairperson of the National Association for Petra Preservation, with support from the European Union Delegation to Jordan and Saeed Samih Darwaza.

Launched in 2024, the Heritage Award annually recognizes individuals, initiatives, and institutions contributing to the protection of Jordan’s cultural, archaeological, and environmental heritage, raising awareness about its importance, and promoting innovative, sustainable practices that preserve both tangible and intangible heritage.

Jordan Kuwait Bank CEO Haitham Al-Bataykhi said, “Renewing our sponsorship for the second year underscores our commitment to preserving Jordan’s cultural and civilizational treasures. Heritage is a core part of national identity, and safeguarding it is our responsibility to future generations.”

Al-Bataykhi highlighted the award’s focus this year on climate change impacts on heritage, reflecting advanced awareness of protecting heritage sites through innovative and sustainable methods. He congratulated winners and participants for their creative efforts in preserving national heritage and strengthening Jordan’s international profile.
