Has Israel Been Defeated?

A debate rages even among Arabs over whether Israel has been defeated, or whether the resistance was the one defeated! That depends on how successful those who tried to bleach Arab minds and hearts with suspect local and international media have been.

The Gaza epic has created new concepts across the board — strategic, political, social, cultural, educational and military — even the notions of victory and defeat are no longer what they were before the Al-Aqsa onslaught. Concepts of war, weapons and resistance themselves have changed.

(1)
Great power versus supreme (enduring) power
Israel is a great power with every available source of brute force, and the United States is certainly a great power too. But the resistance is a supreme power — stronger and more enduring, with the capacity to survive and transform. Great power can be defeated, fall and vanish — history shows that. But the supreme power — the resistance — does not disappear even if it is militarily beaten. Resistance is the oppressed human demanding rights: a humane, moral, cultural resistance. That is what makes it a supreme power.

(2)
Political victory, military victory, or moral victory?
A great power may win militarily: killing, burning, destroying. Earthquakes, floods and fire are mighty forces that often prevail. Israel may have achieved a seismic or flood-like victory, but by the measures of politics and morality its defeat was resounding. As the saying goes: he who laughs last, laughs best. The resistance has won in ideas, culture, politics and morality. Thousands of future resistances and uprisings will spring from this — rights do not vanish.

(3)
The loud voice, the silent voice and the thoughtful voice
From the outcomes of the Gaza liberation war and the supporting campaigns by Hezbollah and Yemen, several sorts of voices have emerged and will be heard:
— The loud voices: Israel and the Arab defeatists who have longed for the resistance to fall; these voices may stay loud for at least a year.
— The silent voices: the frightened, the trembling and the submissive in the Arab world.
— The thoughtful, contemplative voices: those who think, reflect, speak wisely and plan strategically — these are the voices of the resistance that may keep silent for a year but will then resound strongly.

(4)
Analysts, the analyzed, and the dissolved!
Three categories have emerged with the Arab resistance war:
— The analysts: military and civilian commentators who know (or think they know). They speak after events clarify and act like jurists: they argue and interpret, but most bring nothing new.
— The analyzed (those who have been broken down): those whom events and the strength of the adversary have unraveled; they have been defeated and faded — most are enemies of the resistance.
— The dissolved: a category you know well; you see them every evening.

Yes! The resistance triumphed, and that is enough!!
Enough of what we are witnessing in strategic losses for the enemy!
Enough of the Palestinian people's joy!
The genocide war is over, but the enemy will start more despicable wars!
Enough despair and enough silence.
Do you understand me?!
