Gold hits new record in local market, 21-carat reaches JD 83

Gold prices surged Monday in the local market, with 21-carat gold, the most popular among buyers, reaching JD 83 per gram for sale at jewellery shops, compared to JD 80 for purchase.

According to the daily bulletin from the General Association of Jewellery and Gold Shop Owners, prices for 24-, 18-, and 14-carat gold also rose to JD 95, JD 73.6, and JD 55.9 per gram respectively for sale at shops.
