Zain Jordan has won the 2025 Arabia CSR & Sustainability Award in the Large Business Category, recognising its leadership in balancing economic growth with environmental protection and social responsibility.
The award reaffirms Zain Jordan’s pioneering position as one of the first national companies to adopt a comprehensive sustainability and social responsibility strategy, integrating the UN Sustainable Development Goals into its operations. The company has launched numerous community programmes and partnerships with local and international organisations, dedicating part of its annual profits to social initiatives. These efforts earned Zain second place in this year’s awards.
Zain’s vision extends to its partners and suppliers, ensuring alignment with sustainability and ethical values. The company has achieved notable success in youth and women empowerment, inclusion of people with disabilities, and environmental initiatives to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions.
The 18th edition of the awards was held under the patronage of Sheikh Eng. Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Civil Aviation and Executive Council member. The ceremony brought together regional leaders, decision-makers, and top organisations celebrating corporate excellence in sustainability.
The Arabia CSR & Sustainability Awards are among the region’s most prestigious recognitions of excellence in governance, sustainability, and social responsibility, evaluating companies against global standards of transparency and institutional integrity.
Zain Jordan has previously received the Al Hussein Decoration for Distinguished Giving (First Class) from King Abdullah II in recognition of its contributions to national development, along with the Silver Jubilee Medal for advancing Jordan’s telecommunications sector. Recently, it also won the Middle East Excellence Award 2025 from Asian Business Review for its regional data and disaster recovery centre, The Bunker, during a ceremony in Dubai.
