Amman Al-Ahliyya University President Dr. Sari Hamdan met with new and veteran faculty members, in the presence of VP for Academic Affairs and Dean of Dentistry Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, Dean of Research Dr. Ahmad Abu Arabi, and Assistant President for Accreditation, Quality, and Planning & HR Director Dr. Iyad Shaaban.
Dr. Hamdan welcomed new faculty to the university, emphasizing their role in enhancing education and research quality and supporting community development, while expressing pride in the addition of distinguished academics to the university.
He outlined the university’s vision for creating a stimulating learning environment through new and unique programs aligned with local, regional, and international market needs. He also highlighted recent achievements, including Amman Al-Ahliyya University ranking first among Jordanian universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026 (401–500 category globally), a first for the university.
This success reflects the university’s strategic vision to support research, enhance education quality, and foster academic excellence and international collaboration, aided by faculty and administrative efforts and support from Chairman Dr. Maher Al-Hourani and his deputy Omar Al-Hourani.
Dr. Ahmad Abu Arabi stressed the importance of continued support for research as a cornerstone for accreditation and rankings, noting the Research Deanship’s commitment to developing projects aligned with future aspirations.
The meeting concluded with new faculty expressing gratitude for the opportunity to engage directly, share feedback, and receive transparent responses from Dr. Hamdan.
