Israel decides to proceed with reopening the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt and permit the transfer of humanitarian aid into the Strip following the return of the remains of four captives, Israel’s public broadcaster reports.

The broadcaster adds that Israel cancelled planned measures against Hamas, which included halving the number of aid trucks entering Gaza.

Around 600 aid trucks are expected to enter the enclave as the crossing reopens on Wednesday.
