Amman- The Greater Amman Municipality announced Monday that citizens can object to traffic violations they believe were 'incorrectly issued' through electronic services available on the municipality's official website.
The municipality clarified, in a post on its Facebook page, that the 'Object to Incorrectly Issued Traffic Violations' service allows citizens to easily submit their requests electronically. It emphasized that objections must be submitted only by the person concerned.
The municipality explained that only one violation can be selected for objection per request, after which a session will be scheduled to review the objection.
It confirmed that the applicant must attend the scheduled session in person, bringing their personal ID card or a valid passport.
The municipality also indicated that if a citizen is unable to attend the scheduled session, they can cancel the request electronically via the 'Inquiry about a Traffic Violation Objection Request' service, but only before the session's scheduled time.
The Amman Municipality affirmed that this service comes as part of its efforts to enhance transparency, facilitate procedures for citizens, and ensure the accurate entry of traffic violations into the electronic system.
