The Jordanian-Vietnamese Business Forum convenes Thursday as part of King Abdullah II’s visit to Vietnam.
During talks with Vietnamese President Luong Cong in Hanoi on Wednesday, His Majesty said the forum marks a new phase of cooperation and partnership between the private sectors of both countries, connecting Southeast Asia with the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Discussions covered prospects for expanding economic cooperation in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, agriculture, and halal food production.
The governments of Jordan and Vietnam also signed two memorandums of understanding—one between the foreign ministries of both countries and another between the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam.
