Amman – Amman Al-Ahliyya University President Prof. Sari Hamdan honored the university team that won second place nationally and first place in the advanced web category at the IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity 2025 competition.
The competition, organized by IEEE Jordan CS & CIS Joint Chapter and IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Group, involved more than 25 Jordanian universities and over 100 student teams.
The university team was supervised by:
Prof. Mohammad Al-Qatawneh, Dean of the College of Information Technology
Dr. Ahmad Sami Al-Shmaila, Head of Data Science and AI Department
Lecturer Nada Al-Shaf’i
Cybersecurity Analyst Hussein Al-Zaghateet
Team members included Mohammad Khidr Abu Khas, Amer Salameh Al-Assaf, Shahin Hassan Al-Sabbani, Herad Hakob Meradian, Ayham Al-Masri, Tareq Abdul Ghani, and Nour Al-Din Al-Azzam.
Prof. Hamdan said the achievement reflects the advanced level of the university’s students in cybersecurity and demonstrates the quality of both academic and practical training provided by the college. He confirmed the university’s ongoing support for students and their participation in specialized competitions at national and international levels.
