Zain Jordan sponsors Jordan–Syria ICT Forum in Damascus, concluding Thursday with participation from both countries’ ICT sectors. The event is organised by INTAJ in partnership with Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Syria’s Ministry of Communications and Technology.
Sponsorship aligns with Zain’s strategy to support digital-economy development, strengthen regional cooperation, expand investment partnerships, and enable Jordanian companies to explore new markets. The forum also examines future cooperation in modern technologies and digital transformation, and facilitates networking and knowledge exchange between Jordanian and Syrian companies.
More than 80 Jordanian companies working in telecom, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and e-payments join the forum, alongside several Jordanian entrepreneurs. The Syrian side includes around 75 companies and technical experts.
The forum coincides with the opening of the 11th ICT Exhibition in Damascus, where a large Jordanian pavilion hosts participating companies, within a wider event that includes over 250 Arab and international firms from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, and various global technology and telecom companies.
The programme features a ministerial dialogue session on the ICT landscape in both countries, along with technical presentations by INTAJ and the Syrian side. Bilateral meetings between public- and private-sector representatives focus on strengthening future cooperation, showcasing Jordanian capabilities, and exploring potential joint projects for entrepreneurs from both countries.
