Arab Bank, in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, launches a specialised training programme aimed at strengthening financial awareness among women with disabilities, as part of the bank’s ongoing efforts in sustainability and social responsibility and in line with its role in promoting financial inclusion, supporting persons with disabilities, empowering women and increasing their active participation across sectors.
The programme, held at the headquarters of the Higher Council, provides around 20 women with disabilities with essential financial knowledge and practical skills needed to manage their financial affairs confidently and responsibly. The training covers key topics including sound financial planning, mechanisms for informed financial decision-making and building a culture of responsible consumption. Participants are also introduced to major financial and digital services, account types, cards and banking solutions and how to benefit from them. The content includes a simplified explanation of the role of financial technology in developing banking services, the concept of cybersecurity and methods of protection, in addition to a set of financial guidelines and tips.
This cooperation reflects the bank’s commitment to developing targeted initiatives that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities by providing them with knowledge and tools that support their growth and expand their participation in various life fields, enabling them to support their families’ economic stability and contribute to sustainable development.
Arab Bank adopts an integrated sustainability and social-responsibility strategy that reflects its commitment to reinforcing its economic, social and environmental impact through close cooperation with stakeholders to achieve sustainable development. The bank’s social-responsibility programme, “Together”, is one of the outcomes of this approach. It is a multi-pillar programme focused on developing different community sectors through initiatives in health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, education, orphan support and women’s empowerment.
