Amman Ahliyya University hosts a specialised online seminar by Nadine Abu Qiyas, business development specialist at Pioneer Pharma, organised by the Faculty of Pharmacy within the “Graduation Project” course and in coordination with the alumni committee.
Abu Qiyas outlines business development divisions, related roles and the suitability of pharmacy graduates for this field, presenting a real case study from the labour market and highlighting required skills and career opportunities beyond traditional pharmaceutical practice.
Separately, the Faculty of Pharmacy participates with the charity group ‘Kulluna Lel Khair Ahl’ in a free medical day at Ain Al-Basha Secondary School for Boys, as part of the university’s community service efforts.
Faculty members supervise students in organising and dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical counselling and supporting physicians’ assessments. Educational sessions address proper antibiotic use and warn against taking antibiotics without prescription or for viral infections due to rising antimicrobial resistance.
