Amman Ahliyya University president Sari Hamdan takes part in fifth Arab–Russian university presidents forum at Capital University in Egypt under patronage of Egypt higher education minister Mohamed Ayman Ashour, with broad Arab and Russian academic participation.
University signs cooperation agreements with Capital University, Mari State University, and Chechen State University covering student and faculty exchange, joint research and academic programme development.
Hamdan says partnerships align with university strategy to expand international presence and build sustainable academic cooperation, noting agreements support research development and joint initiatives in technology, medical sciences and AI.
Forum, organised by Arab Universities Association, features two initiatives from secretary-general Amr Salama to deepen Arab–Russian cooperation: joint research tracks in AI, space, sustainable energy, medical sciences, food security, heritage and innovation; and establishment of Arab–Russian Centre of Excellence for education and research for joint research, PhD programmes and innovation incubators.
Forum held under theme ‘Knowledge Civilisations Bridges: Education, Innovation and Sustainable Future’ with participation of over fifty Arab and Russian universities.
