Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan says government completes 2026 budget mid-December to allow immediate start of capital projects at start of next year, with no room for delay.
In House session concluding budget debate, Hassan thanks Speaker, finance committee and MPs for discussions and remarks reflecting responsibility and commitment to development.
He says budget debates represent real cooperation between legislative and executive authorities within constitutional framework, guided by King’s directives.
Hassan says government finalises agreements and financial closure for several projects to enable tendering most of them before end of next year, with completion targeted for 2028–2030. He stresses these are concrete plans, not promises.
He says JD1.6bn allocated for capital spending is fully spent to stimulate several economic sectors and launch major strategic projects prepared during current year.
Hassan reiterates government commitment to work with House through all execution stages, maintaining transparency and openness to all views, stressing shared national goals and primacy of Jordan’s interest.
