Digital Media and Graphic Design student Maysar Bassam Hassan Mazhar at Faculty of Architecture and Design, Amman Ahliyya University, achieves notable academic milestone after winning second place at Arab StarPack Student 2025 competition for project ‘Redesign packaging for Mayzouna Boutique brand’ under Structural Packaging category. Arab StarPack ranks among leading Arab competitions specialised in packaging, targeting university students across Arab world. This year edition records participation of 255 contestants from various Arab countries, including 111 students from Jordanian universities. Seven packaging design projects selected at national level in Jordan. Achievement comes through project implemented within Packaging Design course under supervision of course instructor Dr Faten Al Jazar. Project represents practical application of design and development skills in packaging, focusing on enhancing user experience, first impression of product, visual identity, and improving packaging structure to balance aesthetics, function, and usability. Participation aligns with university and faculty direction to support applied learning, encourage student engagement in specialised creative competitions as standardised evaluation environments that develop design thinking, raise job market readiness, and strengthen competitive regional and international portfolios.
