After 77 years, the memory returns with pride and honor to the Jordanian generations when the Jordanian Legislative Council convened on May 25, 1946, and the text of the historic decision declaring the independence of the Kingdom was read.
And the decision stated: “In fulfillment of national aspirations and pursuant to the general desire expressed by the Jordanian municipal councils in their decisions communicated to the Legislative Council, and based on the country’s legal and natural rights and its long struggle and the official international promises and covenants it obtained and based on what was proposed by the Council of Ministers in its Memorandum No. 521 On 13 Jumada al-Akhirah 1365 corresponding to 15/5/1946, the Legislative Council representing the Jordanian people discussed the issue of declaring the country's independence completely on the basis of the representative monarchy with the allegiance to the king to the master of the country and the founder of its entity (Abdullah bin Al-Hussein). It also discussed the matter of amending the Jordanian Basic Law on this basis in accordance with its constitutional jurisdiction.
Upon deliberation and deliberation, the following matters were unanimously decided:
First: declaring the country of Jordan a fully independent state with a representative hereditary monarchy.
Second: Allegiance to the king to the master of the country and the founder of its entity, heir to the Arab renaissance (Abdullah bin Al-Hussein), as a constitutional monarch at the head of the Jordanian state, with the title of His Majesty: (King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan).
Third: Approving the amendment of the Jordanian Basic Law on this basis, in accordance with what is established in the Bylaws (Amendment of the Basic Law) attached to this decision.
Fourth: This decision was submitted to the master of the country, pursuant to the provisions of the Basic Law, to indicate the Sunni will, even if it is accompanied by the supreme ratification. It is considered effective as soon as it is announced to the people, and the government takes over the procedures for its implementation, with the notification of this to all countries through the approved political methods.

Work continued to build Jordan after independence and completed a new constitution for the state, which was ratified by the Legislative Council on November 28, 1946, and on March 4, 1947, the first government was formed during the independence era, and it took place on October 20, 1947. His Majesty King Talal bin Abdullah, may God rest his soul, ascended the throne of the Kingdom in 1951, and he was the first Arab officer to graduate from the British Sandhurst College, as achievements were made during his era that strengthened independence and the foundations of a society based on responsible freedom before the law, as the Jordanian constitution was issued in January 8, 1952, as the first Arab unitary constitution, and stipulated the declaration of Jordan's organic link with the Arab nation, and the embodiment of the national ideology of the Great Arab Revolt, fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the Jordanian people in line with the unity of the two banks in 1950, and the growth of patriotic feeling and national awareness in the Arab world.
During his reign, the Kingdom took a decision to make education compulsory and free, and it had a great impact on the educational renaissance later. During his reign, the Arab Collective Guarantee Agreement was concluded, the Joint Defense Council was formed, and the Audit Bureau was established during his reign.
