Al-Wehdat Club won the title of the second edition of the 'Jerusalem and Dignity' championship, on Friday evening, after its victory in the final match against the Palestinian Jabal Al-Mukaber Club, with two goals to one, at the Martyr Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The first half of the match ended with Jabal Al Mukaber advancing with a goal scored by Mohamed Yamin from a penalty kick in the 41st minute. In the second half, Al Wehdat equalized the result from a penalty kick also via Mahmoud Shawkat. While the match was heading to a penalty shootout to win the title, Daniel Afaneh succeeded in scoring the second goal for Al Wehdat in the last minute of regular time, after he took advantage of a cross, which he crawled into the net of Jabal Al Mukaber goalkeeper Rami Hamada.
Jordan's Al Wehdat won the first edition of the tournament last year, after winning the final match, also, over Jabal Al Mukaber, with four goals to two.
