The Ministry of Culture of Jordan, in cooperation with the Jerash Festival, continues to host “Ramadan Evenings” activities for the second week of the holy month across cultural centers in Jordan’s governorates. Events are held every Thursday and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to midnight, blending spirituality, entertainment, and community engagement to reinforce values of solidarity and reflection. Amman At the Royal Cultural Center, activities began with a poetry evening featuring Dr. Iman Abdelhadi and Taysir Al-Shamasin, presented by Dr. Ali Al-Shawabkeh. The program also included competitions for children and adults, followed by a musical performance by artist Majd Ayoub, who performed Jordanian and Levantine songs. Zarqa The King Abdullah II Cultural Center hosted a spiritual Ramadan evening featuring the Anwar Al-Huda religious chanting group, attended by cultural representatives and members of the local community. Irbid At the Irbid Cultural Center, Egyptian chanter Ahmed Al-Omari performed religious hymns and traditional devotional songs, drawing strong audience engagement. Mafraq Poets Mohammad Al-Amoush and Jaser Al-Bzour participated in a poetry evening, alongside musical performances by Bashar Al-Sarhan. Salt The Musa Al-Saket Cultural Center featured religious chanting by Saleh Al-Khalayleh, children’s performances, traditional games, art exhibitions, Arabic calligraphy displays, and cultural competitions aimed at promoting social cohesion. Madaba Events were held at the Grand Madaba Municipality Hall, including poetry readings by Saeed Yaqoub, Ahmad Al-Daqs, and Iman Ziyada, as well as musical performances by Ghada Abbasi. Tafileh At the Tafileh Reconstruction Foundation Theater, a poetry evening was followed by a musical concert by Samer Anwar featuring national and folkloric songs. Community Outreach Ramadan Evenings also extended to rehabilitation centers in coordination with the Public Security Directorate. The Ministry organized iftar meals for children at Um Al-Hussein Orphan Care and for elderly residents at Darat Samir Shamma Care Home, accompanied by entertainment programs that brought joy to attendees. The Ramadan Evenings program continues throughout the month across all governorates, offering family-oriented cultural and entertainment activities that celebrate the spiritual and social values of Ramadan.
