Six people, including a child and a woman, were martyred on Friday in two Israeli airstrikes on the town of Habboush in southern Lebanon, according to the Ministry of Health. The strikes occurred shortly after an evacuation warning was issued by the Israeli occupation army to the town's residents, amid ongoing Israeli attacks despite the current truce. Although a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah has been in effect since April 17 (and was recently extended following direct discussions between Lebanese and Israeli ambassadors in Washington), the Israeli army continues to carry out strikes, particularly in southern Lebanon, resulting in further casualties. The Ministry of Health stated: 'The Israeli enemy's raids on the town of Habboush in the Nabatieh District resulted, in an initial toll, in 6 martyrs including a child and a woman, and 8 wounded including a child and a woman.' The official National News Agency reported that Israeli aircraft launched 'a series of violent raids' on the town 'less than an hour after the enemy army issued a warning to its residents to evacuate.' In addition to Habboush, a series of Israeli raids targeted several other towns in southern Lebanon on Friday, most notably the city of Tyre. These attacks come a day after at least 17 people were martyred in similar raids across the south, according to local authorities. AFP
