In a new qualitative achievement reflecting its leadership in applying quality standards and international accreditation, the Faculty of Hospitality Management and Tourism at Al-Ahliyya Amman University obtained the ISO 22000 certification for the Food Safety Management System, becoming the first Jordanian university to receive this international accreditation in the field of food safety management. This comes as a confirmation of the university's commitment to implementing the highest standards of quality and international accreditation across various fields. The certificate of accreditation was received by the Acting President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, who praised the faculty, its deanship, its supervisors, its cadres, and its students. This accreditation underscores the faculty's commitment to implementing global best practices in food safety management by ensuring the safety of all operations related to receiving, storing, preparing, processing, and serving food items within kitchens, laboratories, and training facilities, in line with international standard requirements and enhancing a culture of risk prevention and continuous improvement. Obtaining this certification also contributes to elevating the educational and training environment provided by the faculty by equipping students with advanced practical expertise that aligns with international standards and the requirements of the hospitality and food industry sectors. This enhances their readiness for the labor market and raises their efficiency in professionally applying food safety management systems.
