The Prime Minister’s Office announced on Monday that the cabinet reshuffle for Dr. Jafar Hassan’s government will be minor and comes in fulfillment of constitutional requirements following the merger of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the title of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development. The Office stated that the reshuffle will include the appointment of two Deputy Prime Ministers to strengthen and empower the Economic Modernization and Services Committees, granting them greater capacity to follow up on files and projects while accelerating the pace of work and achievement. It added that the government's priority at this stage centers on moving forward with the implementation of major national projects that constitute a developmental and economic necessity for the Kingdom, which cannot tolerate delays and require the relevant ministers to continue finalizing them. The same applies to draft laws and legislation serving the political, economic, and administrative modernization tracks. The Office noted that the Prime Minister is keen to establish a distinct approach in managing the government team, built on accumulated experience and harmony among team members. It highlighted that the Prime Minister has not brought a single new minister into his cabinet since the first reshuffle during his government's first year, reflecting a direction toward maintaining team stability and allowing ministers sufficient time to work and carry responsibility for their portfolios.
