Israeli settlers, protected by occupation forces, continued for a 13th consecutive day on Friday to besiege a number of homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, in what local officials describe as an attempt to seize the properties and impose new facts on the ground. Qusra council head Abd al-Azim Wadi said occupation forces and a group of settlers are still enforcing a siege on three homes in the town's Ras al-Ain area, barring families from entering or leaving, and have converted one of the homes into a military post under their control, after declaring the area a closed military zone. Wadi said the besieged families are running short of food and some medicine, since occupation forces are blocking access to the homes and preventing supplies from reaching them. Occupation forces destroyed the contents and furniture of the home turned into a military post — belonging to Palestinian resident Yousef Abd al-Salam — on Thursday evening. Abd al-Salam is currently in another besieged home, after occupation soldiers forced him and his family out of their own house at gunpoint, citing the area's designation as a 'closed military zone.'
