Several areas across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem witnessed an intensified wave of Israeli violations on Thursday, leaving two women and a child wounded by Israeli gunfire in Hebron, while demolition orders and operations were carried out in Jerusalem and Tubas, alongside a wide-scale arrest campaign.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that Israeli forces stormed the town of Al-Karmel and deployed along its streets before raiding several Palestinian homes and turning them into military posts. The forces then opened live fire at a vehicle carrying several women, wounding two women and a child in the face and head.
Qassem Abu Aram, head of the Al-Karmel municipality and husband of one of the injured women, said his wife came under heavy gunfire from Israeli soldiers without warning, and that there had been no military checkpoint or any visible indication that the town was being raided.
He said his wife, Sanaa Abu Aram, and child Lana Al-Haroush sustained gunshot wounds to the face and were in serious condition, while Duaa Al-Haroush was wounded by shrapnel in the face.
In a separate development, Israeli forces demolished structures in Khirbet Ras Al-Ahmar, southeast of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank.
