jordan pulse : Two Black Hawk helicopters belonging to the Royal Jordanian Air Force Command participated on Friday in operations to extinguish a wildfire that broke out in forested areas between the Ajloun and Jerash governorates, supporting Civil Defense crews and field authorities on site.
The two helicopters executed aerial sorties to suppress fire hotspots and assist ground firefighting teams, navigating rugged mountainous terrain that hindered access to several fire locations. The blaze initially ignited in the Jabal Abu Al-Namer area of Ajloun Governorate before spreading toward the Umm Jowzah area in the Al-M'arad District of Jerash Governorate, consuming approximately 25 dunams of forested land.
