'Reflect,' the digital banking platform by Arab Bank, recently launched a cryptocurrency trading service in partnership with Fuze, a leading digital asset infrastructure provider in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, making it the first banking application in Jordan to offer eligible users access to crypto trading. The launch follows a pioneering pilot program executed within the Central Bank of Jordan’s regulatory sandbox (JoRegBox) to explore integrating digital asset services within a regulated banking app while testing technical, operational, and compliance requirements. The new service provides eligible Reflect users in Jordan with direct access to the cryptocurrency market through the app. Users can explore the market, buy and sell supported digital currencies, monitor investment portfolios in real time, and view live market prices and coin details before executing trades. Supported cryptocurrencies currently include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Avalanche (AVAX), Chainlink (LINK), Solana (SOL), Stellar (XLM), Ripple (XRP), and PEPE. Upon completing registration, users can fund their crypto accounts in US Dollars directly from their Jordanian Dinar (JOD) checking account in Reflect to start trading and tracking their portfolio performance seamlessly. Commenting on the service, Yazan Hamdan, Head of Reflect, stated that launching crypto trading represents a new milestone in Reflect’s vision to deliver innovative financial services that meet client expectations, offering a simple and integrated experience within a familiar banking environment under the supervision of the Central Bank of Jordan. For his part, Mohammed Ali Yusuf, CEO of Fuze, expressed that the initiative provides a unique opportunity for Reflect users in Jordan to access digital assets through a trusted application, noting that JoRegBox provided an ideal environment to test operations alongside Reflect and contribute to the future of financial services in the Kingdom.
