The number of participants in the 'Urdunna Jannah' program since its launch has reached nearly 211,000, according to Program Director Ahmad Al-Rifai. Responding to inquiries from Al-Mamlaka on Sunday, Al-Rifai stated that the program is undergoing continuous updates by adding new destinations and monitoring participant feedback. Regarding the number of participating travel agencies, Al-Rifai noted that 141 agencies have benefited from the program, while the number of buses and tour guides reached 6,654, alongside 115 participating restaurants and 106 accommodation facilities. The Ministry aims to reach 220,000 participants in the program. The number of beneficiaries of overnight stay packages exceeded 83,000, with total overnight stays reaching 85,000 nights. The program aims to stimulate domestic tourism and encourage citizens to explore tourist destinations across the Kingdom by offering diverse tourist experiences at subsidized prices suitable for various demographics. It targets approximately 220,000 beneficiaries during 2026, focusing on increasing trips to less-visited destinations and supporting areas most affected by declining visitor numbers due to ongoing regional events, particularly the city of Petra. The program includes expanding local project engagement to exceed 400 projects—comprising restaurants, hotels, and tourism experiences—to support the local economy, alongside enriching the program with more than 60 diverse tourist routes covering various regions of the Kingdom. In its updated format, the program allows direct booking and participation using private vehicles for subsidized tourism experiences via its platform. It has also expanded its beneficiary base to include Arab and foreign university students studying in Jordan, residents from the Gaza Strip living in the Kingdom, and children and husbands of Jordanian women. The program is implemented in partnership with travel agencies, tour guides, hotels, camps, the tourist transport sector, and souvenir shops, contributing to the sustainability and readiness of the tourism sector amid current regional circumstances, while supporting and empowering local communities and enhancing their role in the sector. The program—with trip costs subsidized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities up to 60%—provides an integrated experience that includes free transportation on modern buses, accompanying tour guides, and meals, ensuring a comfortable and organized trip for participants. It also includes organizing monthly events and festivals across all governorates, featuring cultural activities, bazaars, and local products to stimulate tourism and economic activity.
