AMMAN As part of its ongoing efforts to support health and humanitarian initiatives and reinforce its community support role, Zain Jordan, through its free mobile clinic, participated in the 'Widad 7' campaign launched by Al-Nubala Company for Sustainable Development in Ma'an Governorate. The initiative was conducted in coordination with the Royal Initiatives Directorate at the Royal Hashemite Court to provide free medical and humanitarian services to residents of the Al-Shidiyya and Al-Mudawwara areas, beneficiaries of the Royal Initiative housing, and members of local communities. Zain's participation aligns with its goals to facilitate citizens' access to healthcare services across the Kingdom's governorates—particularly in remote and underprivileged areas—by reaching citizens in their locations and providing free healthcare and health awareness services. The initiative aims to promote a culture of prevention and early detection of communicable and infectious diseases. It also falls under the company's commitment to supporting local communities, raising health awareness, and facilitating access to healthcare services in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), integrated across its sustainability management programs. Zain's free mobile clinic delivered services to campaign beneficiaries, continuing its community role established since its launch in 2002. Providing health and awareness services free of charge, the clinic has benefited over 260,000 individuals to date. Its services encompass general medical examinations, healthy child follow-ups, oral and dental health, screening for communicable and infectious diseases, and chronic disease management, alongside health education on prevention and early detection. Cases requiring specialized follow-up or treatment are referred to relevant healthcare authorities to ensure appropriate continuous care. In addition to medical services, the 'Widad 7' campaign featured field and home visits to several families in targeted areas to assess their needs firsthand and deliver necessary humanitarian assistance. This included distributing food items provided by the National Health Insurance Management Company alongside medical supplies to help meet the essential needs of beneficiary families. The total number of beneficiaries across the various medical and humanitarian services provided by the campaign reached approximately 12,000 individuals, with children accounting for 60% of total beneficiaries on the first day. Medical, therapeutic, and specialized services covered the Al-Shidiyya and Al-Mudawwara stations, as well as the areas of Al-Thaghra, Al-Jafr, and Al-Muhammadiyya, in addition to home visits that expanded service reach directly to residents. The 'Widad 7' campaign exemplifies integration between the public and private sectors, as well as health, humanitarian, and community organizations. It was executed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Youth, the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, alongside several international organizations and media outlets. Supported by specialist physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and volunteers, this collaboration unified efforts, expertise, and resources to deliver medical and humanitarian services to the maximum number of beneficiaries in the targeted regions.
