Data from the Ministry of Energy's 2025 annual report revealed an 83.2% decline in Jordan's crude oil production between 2021 and 2025, dropping from approximately 107.9 thousand barrels to 18.2 thousand barrels. Meanwhile, natural gas production fell by 11.4%, declining from 7 billion to 6.2 billion cubic feet. Conversely, total consumption of petroleum products rose by nearly 10%, from 3.61 million tons in 2021 to around 3.97 million tons in 2025. Jet fuel consumption recorded the largest relative increase at approximately 73.9%, followed by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at 31.3%, and diesel at 16.1%. In contrast, gasoline consumption fell by 6.9%, while fuel oil consumption dropped by 27.3%. On the imports front, quantities of crude oil and petroleum products increased by 9.7%, rising from roughly 3.99 million tons in 2021 to 4.37 million tons in 2025. The data showed a 16.3% increase in crude oil imports over the same period, reaching around two million tons. LPG imports also grew by about 30%, whereas gasoline imports declined by 17.6%.
