AMMAN The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by the Social and Extracurricular Activities Committee, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students, participated in the events of the comprehensive educational health day for breast cancer awareness. The event was organized by the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Association in cooperation with the Jordanian Dental Association and the Jordan Medical Association, with the participation of several health entities, at the Professional Associations Complex in Balqa Governorate. The faculty's participation included implementing a range of awareness and educational activities, including the distribution of instructional leaflets and brochures that addressed the importance of early detection of breast cancer, prevention methods, and the significance of periodic examinations. This was alongside organizing an interactive educational competition aimed at enhancing health awareness among community members and correcting misconceptions related to the disease. This participation comes within the framework of the Faculty of Pharmacy's keenness at Al-Ahliyya Amman University to reinforce its role in community service, spread health culture, and encourage its students to actively participate in awareness initiatives and activities. This contributes to raising awareness regarding the importance of prevention and early detection, enhancing treatment prospects, and reducing disease complications. This initiative underscores the importance of partnership between academic, professional syndicate, and health institutions in spreading awareness, bolstering social responsibility, and establishing the role of pharmacy students in conveying health and educational messages to various segments of society.
