AMMAN Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) has achieved historic leaps and qualitative milestones in the latest releases of global and regional rankings, consolidating its leading position locally, regionally, and internationally. Once again, Al-Ahliyya Amman University charted a golden achievement by securing 19th place among Arab universities and ranking 1st locally in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Rankings 2027. The results were officially announced at midnight yesterday in Morocco, coinciding with the events of the THE Arab Universities Summit held in partnership with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. The ranking system relies on several core performance indicators, including: Teaching (the learning environment), Research Environment, Research Quality, International Outlook, and Industry, alongside metrics linked to community service and institutional capabilities. This milestone follows the university's attainment of 1st place locally and 376th globally according to the THE World University Rankings 2027, as well as 643rd globally in the QS World University Rankings, and ranking 1st among private universities, 3rd locally, and 26th regionally in the QS Arab Region University Rankings 2027—affirming that leadership is demonstrated through action and measurable success rather than claims. The university has successfully established a distinguished presence on the global educational map through teaching quality, research performance, and academic outputs, alongside continuous developmental plans for its infrastructural and academic foundations, providing an integrated digital environment, and keeping pace with technological advances to foster an educational environment competing with major international universities. Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated: 'Al-Ahliyya Amman University's attainment of these unique positions across all global rankings is evidence of the distinction and substantial progress experienced by the university across all fields. It is a proud testament to our quality of education, scientific research, academic program modernization aligned with labor market demands, graduate competence, active networking with top global educational institutions, community service, and contributions to sustainable development. We look forward under the university's new strategic plan toward broader global prominence.' For his part, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hamdan, said: 'This achievement, alongside our other milestones on this front, confirms that Al-Ahliyya Amman University is advancing with steady steps and distinction along the path of further Arab, regional, and global brilliance. The university broke boundaries long ago to stand among the elite universities of the world, and with the same resolve, we continue working to achieve further qualitative accomplishments across all levels.'
