AMMAN In a statement issued by Shabab Al-Fuheis Club, the organization affirmed its commitment to national unity and solidarity in light of recent tragic events in the Kingdom. The statement opened by declaring: 'In the name of God, who blessed us with Jordan as a homeland, and with the Hashemite leadership as a source of pride and dignity. Based on our national and humanitarian responsibility, our pride in belonging to our precious homeland Jordan, our loyalty to our wise Hashemite leadership, and our firm belief in the unity of the Jordanian national fabric across all its spectrums and components, Shabab Al-Fuheis Club confirms that the city of Fuheis has been and will remain an authentic and integral part of this nation, sharing joy, sorrow, and national stances with its people.' The statement continued: 'In light of the painful circumstances our country has witnessed recently, including the tragic impact on our people in Karak Governorate as a result of the church incident two weeks ago, and what we witnessed today with the martyrdom of one of the nation's brave men, a son of the Al-Salayta tribe, we announce our complete solidarity with our people and the families of the martyrs, confirming that feelings of grief, loyalty, and national solidarity take precedence over any festive manifestations.' 'Accordingly, Shabab Al-Fuheis Club announces its position not to hold public celebrations and festive manifestations on the occasion of the glorious Christmas holidays for this year, restricting activities to holding prayers and religious rituals inside churches as an expression of faith, hope, and prayer for our homeland and its people, asking God to preserve Jordan's leadership and people and to sustain the blessings of security and safety.' The statement also added: 'We appeal to the owners of commercial establishments and institutions in the city of Fuheis to respect this national and humanitarian state, and to refrain from holding any festive events or activities on the occasion of Christmas for commercial or profitable purposes, out of consideration for the feelings of the nation's people and the city's residents, and in line with the position we express with all responsibility and respect.' The club concluded by emphasizing that 'Fuheis, with its history, authenticity, and belonging, always confirms that the homeland comes above all considerations, and that the unity and solidarity of Jordanians during adversity are the title of our strength and dignity. May God have mercy on the nation's martyrs, protect the brave men of our security agencies, preserve Jordan and its Hashemite leadership, and perpetuate love and brotherhood among all its children.'
