AMMAN Jeeny, the smart mobility platform licensed by the Land Transport Regulatory Commission, has launched the 'Next Stop' Mobility and AI Hackathon in partnership with Al-Ahliyya Amman University and The Node, with support from the Replit platform. The hackathon is open to students across all Jordanian universities to innovate smart solutions aimed at reshaping daily transportation in the Kingdom. Participating students will form teams of three to five members across two main tracks: the first track, 'Micro-Mobility with Jeeny,' focuses on light vehicle transport solutions; the second track, 'Daily Student Commute,' centers on enhancing the efficiency and ease of students' daily transit. Registration remains open until 11:59 PM on Saturday, November 14. Competing teams will vie for cash prizes totaling 1,000 Jordanian Dinars distributed among the top three winners, alongside internship opportunities at Jeeny to gain practical experience in the smart mobility sector. Qualified teams will be announced on November 22, with the hackathon scheduled to take place on November 27–28 on the campus of Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The launch of the hackathon aligns with Jeeny's commitment to investing in Jordanian youth and fostering innovation within the transport sector, supporting the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision to empower youth and promote entrepreneurship. The initiative is sponsored by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, with private sector support from Uminah, Four Winters, Reflect by Arab Bank, and Green Olive Catering. Under the slogan 'Your Idea Is the Next Stop,' the hackathon invites interested students to register their teams via the official website (nextstop.jeeny.me). Source: Rum News Agency
