Al- Ahliyya Amman University and the national karate team player, student Hassan Al-Masarwa, majoring in physical and health education at the College of Educational Sciences, won the silver medal in the under-75 kg weight category in the Asian Games competitions. Al-Masarwa began his campaign by defeating the Philippine player 7-3, qualifying for the quarter-finals and eliminating the Indonesian player by defeating him 6-4 and qualifying for the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Al-Masarwa, in a confrontation with the Japanese player, was able to overcome him by giving him the advantage after a 5-5 draw, before losing the final match and securing the silver medal. The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, His Excellency Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, congratulates the student “Masarweh” on this achievement, wishing him continued success in winning medals for Jordanian karate in various international competitions. It should be noted that this medal is the fourth medal for the Jordanian delegation participating in the Asian Games competitions, and all medals so far have gone to students and graduates of Al-Ahliyya Amman University after Jordanian Taekwondo won two silver medals for Al-Sharbati and Zaid Mustafa, and another bronze for Zaid Al-Halawani.
