The Secretary-General of the Egyptian Red Crescent in North Sinai, Dr. Raed Abdel Nasser, announced today, Saturday, that the first batch of sick Palestinian children had crossed the Rafah crossing, scheduled to be treated in the United Arab Emirates. He stressed that this step came in implementation of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, to treat a thousand sick children, pointing out that premature children from Gaza are being received and are scheduled to be treated in Sinai hospitals. Yesterday evening, Friday, the Rafah crossing received a number of people injured in the aggression on the Gaza Strip, while the medical team began evaluating the cases. --_(Petra)
