The Chairman of the Palestine Parliamentary Committee, Engineer Firas Al-Ajarmeh, affirmed Jordan’s position under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, in support of the justice of the Palestinian cause, as well as the harmonious official and popular position regarding the course of events in the Gaza Strip.
Al-Ajarmeh said, during a speech he delivered at the fourth conference of the International Islamic Forum for Parliamentarians, currently held in Turkey, that the Israeli occupation does not respect international conventions and treaties.
He stressed that the Palestinian issue is a priority for Jordan.
Al-Ajarma called for the necessity of ending the division between the Palestinian factions and uniting to confront the Israeli occupation, which has violated all international laws and treaties.
He also called on the parliamentarians of the world to expose the crimes of the Israeli occupation, which killed children, infants and women, destroyed mosques, churches, hospitals and shelter centres, and committed genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.
While Al-Ajarma stressed the need to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for the mass massacres committed against Gazans, he stressed the importance of resisting the occupation by all means and confronting the violations of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and its repeated incursions.
He also called on the parliamentarians participating in the conference to put pressure on their governments to boycott the Israeli occupation and consider it an enemy of the nation.
