The Swedish Embassy in Amman confirmed that the visit of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, and Her Majesty Queen Silvia to Jordan, scheduled for November 15-17, at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II, will enhance the deep historical friendship ties between the two countries.
The embassy said in a statement today, Sunday, that the visit will focus on cooperation on regional issues, multilateral issues, environment and climate issues and comprehensive sustainable development, including the participation of women and youth, in addition to promoting trade and investment exchange between the two countries.
She added that the visit will highlight the growing Swedish-Jordanian partnership, during which the Swedish Dialogue Institute for the Middle East and North Africa will be opened, and the embassy in Amman will be expanded and moved to a new building.
She said he will be accompanied by their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, members of the Swedish government, and representatives of Swedish companies to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in a number of sectors.
