The Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Al-Ississ, issued Financial Order No. (1) for the month of January 2024 to ministries and government departments, due to the delay in approving the draft general budget law for the year 2024 until after the start of the fiscal year.
Based on the text of Article (113) of the Constitution, the budget allocations will be spent by monthly financial orders at a rate of (1/12) of the allocations for the fiscal year 2023 to cover current expenditures and obligations resulting from capital expenditures until the issuance of the General Budget Law for the year 2024, and they were asked to provide it with financial transfers for current expenditure items for the month of January, and financial transfers for capital expenditure materials that entail payable obligations.
Al-Ississ also issued Financial Order No. (1) for the month of January 2024 for government units to cover current expenses and obligations resulting from capital expenditures until the approval of the General Budget Law for the fiscal year 2024.
