China successfully launched a new remote sensing satellite, Yaogan-34 series, into space from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China Tuesday morning.
The satellite 'Yaogan-34 03' was launched aboard a 'Long March-4C' carrier rocket, and successfully entered the planned orbit.
The remote sensing satellite will be used in areas such as land resource surveying, urban planning, crop yield estimation, and disaster prevention and mitigation.
