The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Makram Al-Queisi, inspected the Roman Theater and the Amman Citadel in the center of Amman, and visited two buildings received by the Department of Antiquities from the Municipality of Amman and listened to an explanation from the Director of the Department, Dr. Fadi Balawi, regarding the department's plans to establish two Ammany museums in these two buildings, so that one of them will be a museum that simulates the history of Amman by producing replicas of statues and ceramic works that tell the story of the kings who successively ruled over ancient Amman, in addition to some ancient handicraft artworks such as Jars and cups, while the second museum is concerned with displaying images of archaeological sites in the capital, Amman, which were restored during the Hashemite era, where the museum will contain photos of the sites before and after restoration.
Al-Queisi stressed that these two museums will constitute an added tourism value aimed at enhancing the tourist experience, and giving Jordanians and tourists a new tourism product.
During the tour, Al-Queisi was briefed on the project to develop the southern slope of the Amman Citadel, which was implemented by the Department of Antiquities to be a new tourist product linking the Amman Citadel and the Roman Theater , while during the tour, the Indian film team Paddy Mian Shut Mian, actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and Indian director Ali Abbas Zafar, some of whose scenes will be filmed in the Roman Theater , Jerash, Boulevard and Aqaba.
