Jordan's consumption of petroleum derivatives decreased by 5% during 2023 to record more than 3.561 billion liters, compared to approximately 3.742 liters during 2022, according to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In response to the Kingdom’s inquiries , the Ministry indicated that diesel recorded the largest decline of 6%, bringing its sales volume to more than 1.776 billion liters, compared to more than 1.895 billion liters in 2022.
Demand for gasoline (octane 90) decreased by 4% last year, recording a sales volume of more than 1.640 billion liters, compared to 1.703 million liters in the previous year.
While the demand for gasoline (octane 95) increased by 1%, bringing its sales volume to approximately 145 million liters, compared to 143 million liters during the comparison period.
