The Israeli occupation army announced at dawn on Monday that it had liberated two Israeli hostages during a joint operation by the army, police and public security in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and said that they were in good condition.
A statement issued by a hospital said that the two hostages were transferred to Sheba Hospital in central Israel, and doctors confirmed that they were in “good condition.”
The occupation army also announced the killing of two soldiers in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
Hamas warned on Sunday that an Israeli military operation in Rafah, in the far south of Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of civilians have taken refuge, would undermine the possibility of releasing hostages held in the besieged Palestinian Strip.
