The highway patrols representative said through the Public Security Radio that they also handled a rollover accident of a cargo vehicle carrying a container on its surface and colliding with one of the lighting poles in the central island, specifically in the Al-Hasan area after the residential city, resulting in two moderate injuries who were taken by the civil defense to Tafila Hospital, and the lighting pole was lifted due to its obstruction of traffic movement as well as the fall of the container’s load.
The highway patrols also dealt with a collision accident between two private vehicles on the Petra Street towards Irbid, resulting in two moderate injuries who were taken by the civil defense groups to King Abdullah University Hospital, and the cause of the accident was determined by the traffic department, by changing the lane suddenly by one of the vehicles.
They also dealt with a number of wrong behaviors, such as arresting two drivers of a vehicle that is not legally licensed in the Dead Sea area and Al-Miah Street, and taking the legal action against them, and arresting a driver of a vehicle driving at a high speed of 90-161.
They pointed out some of the wrong behaviors and actions that would threaten the level of honesty and traffic safety, such as changing the lanes suddenly, violating the opposite direction of traffic, high-speed violations, using the mobile phone and crossing the red signal.
