The Director General of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, Engineer Abdul Rahim Al-Warikat, announced that the disbursement of fuel allowance support for public transport operators for the month of November of the fourth quarter of 2023 will start from the morning of the day after tomorrow, Monday.
Al-Warikat told the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that the last date for disbursing this support will be the end of Monday, April 15, 2024; stressing the need for operators to adhere to the final disbursement date, indicating that determining this period comes in order to give room to start working on the next batches.
He pointed out that this disbursement comes in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers, to support public transport operators on passenger transport lines and taxis within the jurisdiction of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, pointing to the completion of all procedures related to fuel support for those who deserve it, where the beneficiary operators can review the approved companies to fill their vehicles with fuel at the approved support values in the announced date.
Al-Warikat added that the disbursement of these dues comes within the government’s plan to continue bearing the costs of the difference in the increase in fuel prices on the operating costs of public transport fares for passengers to alleviate the citizens who use public transport by not raising the fares and bearing and paying these costs to the operators by disbursing them to those who deserve them by filling the fuel according to the type of fuel used for the means of transport and through the approved fuel stations in each governorate.
