The Kremlin announced on Saturday that Russia had arrested 11 people, including four suspected gunmen, in connection with the shooting inside a concert hall near Moscow.

Hours after the attack, the United States announced that it had warned Russia in March of a possible terrorist attack against “large gatherings” in Moscow, the White House announced Friday.
On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with law enforcement and rescue officials after the attack.
Russian news agencies quoted the Kremlin as saying that Putin received reports from the head of the security services, the Investigative Committee, the National Guard, and from the Ministers of the Interior, Health and Emergency Situations.
The terrorist organization, which has targeted Russia several times, announced in a statement on Telegram that its fighters “attacked a large gathering (...) in the vicinity of the Russian capital, Moscow.” The organization claimed that its fighters 'withdrew to their bases safely.'
