The total public debt in Jordan rose during the past year to 41.181 billion dinars, reaching 114% of the gross domestic product, including the debt owed by the government to the Social Security Investment Fund.
According to Ministry of Finance data, the total amount borrowed by the government during the past year reached 2.692 billion dinars.
The data indicated that the total government borrowing from the Social Security Fund Investment Fund reached 8.892 billion dinars.
